I am climbing a steep hill, the trail has many rocks and tree roots to trip me up. I have to pause to catch my breath, and when I do, oh the view is incredible. The sun is shining on the lake beyond the trees. I smell the leaves, the moss, the plants, the earth. I hear the birds chirping, the squirrels playing... And I keep going, climbing, searching, pondering, learning, growing..... feeling the freedom becoming grander with each step......

I always let them know that I am around for them, if they need to talk or even just sit in quiet together. I remind them that they are in my thoughts and I am there
for comfort. My friend called me the other day, I knew he was going through some challenging times. He just wanted to know that a friend was there. I was there and thankful to be.

I had a dream once that I was on a lake in a boat and my daughter was swimming in the water. I watched some giant monster looking fish rise up out of the water and eat her and I was so so sad. Not long afterwards, her dad and I went through a divorce and she was taken from me for a year because her dad wanted custody. We ended up in a huge custody battle and she came home to me. I don't know if the monster was her dad or my inner fears.

I am never sure what is enough time. I try to carve out times for myself, and then I struggle with that guilt thing of thinking I should be doing this or that. But when I go out for my nature walks, I am in so much joy and grateful that I listened to myself to take that time. I then want much more of it!

I have a very dear friend who spent this entire last year teaching me how to breathe. and not just breathe to live, but breathe to feel it throughout my body and soul. When times get tough, I have learned to take a moment and take those breaths. I feel
myself calm and become at peace with everything. I had been suffering from anxiety prior to these lessons and now it is no more. How grateful I am to this friend. Breathing is so much more than just putting air in our lungs. It sustains our every moment, our essence, the every part of our self.
