This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 07, 2008:
This question reminds me of a children's book called Miss Rumphius. Her grandfather told her to create beauty for everyone, even if it is in the smallest way. She planted lupines in her town and every season the wind carried the seeds to plant more until the entire country was covered in lupines, long after her death. For me, my joy comes in simple kindness to others. It is a catching thing.

That book sounds wonderful. Thank you for passing the message along. :)
I JUST read this story to my second graders today! I told the children to find their joy. Mrs. Rumphius loved lupines. She shared her joy with everyone and her joy will live on forever - even in her absence.
Hugs!
