What is your idea of heaven?

Posted on Dec 14th, 2008 by Stef : sweet emotion.... Stef
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 14, 2008:

I wonder if it would be much different than what I already have as far as scenery.....big serene lake with surrounding mountains and my favorite trees: aspens all around and some pine trees and all the seasons and weather. And many paths to just walk and walk.  I would have lots of animals and music
that brings harmony.  I would love to be a part of helping other souls "acclimate" to their new world.  And to travel and see other areas easily.

Where would you recommend people give their time?

Posted on Dec 20th, 2008 by Stef : sweet emotion.... Stef
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 20, 2008:

I always think the best way to give time is to others who are unable to do normal tasks, typically elderly people living on their own and just need their lawn mowed, snow shoveled, groceries bought, medicine picked up.  And to be checked on for ensurance of warmth and safety.
Those of us who live our normal every day lives take for granted all the things we can do, there are many out there who cannot.

What is the best thing about anger?

Posted on Dec 13th, 2008 by Stef : sweet emotion.... Stef
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 13, 2008:

Winter_lake
Anger allows me to be aware that I am in a contrasting situation and there there is a lesson for me to learn, whether it is about controlling my anger or about letting the anger happen but then letting it go.  I am thankful to have reached a point in self awareness that I am able to take that step back and see what is before me.

What's your favorite part of this season?

Posted on Dec 26th, 2008 by Stef : sweet emotion.... Stef
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 26, 2008:

I like the after time of the holidays, when everyone settles down from all the rush and chaos and just enjoys the winter for the rest it gives us.  It is time to regroup, rejuvenate, and replenish our dreams.

What was the last experience that took your breath away?

Posted on Dec 17th, 2008 by Stef : sweet emotion.... Stef
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 17, 2008:

A family I know are building a retreat on the top of a mountain.  When I first was brought to it, I saw a majestic arch for an entrance to the retreat that had the words "The Haven" at  the top.  It took my breath away, it was so large and welcoming.  Just a little ways into the retreat and I was met by another breath taker, a most beautiful mountain top view of the valley with many lakes.  It is the most spiritual place.

What would you miss most about your home?

Posted on Dec 7th, 2008 by Stef : sweet emotion.... Stef
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 07, 2008:

Books
I just moved into a new home and there is a porch that has been made into an extra room.  I made it into my own place just for me, equipped with all of my books, desk, computer, recliner, reading light, sofa and candles.  I would miss this sanctuary of mine greatly, it is my home in the home.

What is prayer?

Posted on Dec 15th, 2008 by Stef : sweet emotion.... Stef
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 15, 2008:

I see prayer as a way of expressing one's trueness for others, as well as for themself.  I think prayer is coming from our Higher Self,  It is the energy in all of us and around us and we are sending our own healing energy and thoughts for others.  I think it can follow much of the teachings of Abraham and the Art of Allowing, we pray, we are allowing ourselves to open up and genuinely project our desires in whatever capacity.

That I find the courage and confidence to move on from the job I am that is not where I truly belong, but to new beginnings and happiness in a field that I love and am helping others, including animals.

What makes someone easy to be with?

Kittifriends
From the experiences in my life, I found that someone that is easy to be with is very secure with themself.  They do not have to prove anything to me or to anyone.  We are just ourselves and it is peaceful.

Simply being outdoors, taking in the fresh air, hearing and feeling the wind, smelling the plants and earth, hearing the creatures.  I also enjoy reading and relaxing, taking in new knowledge from a book, experiencing the gift of words and life.

What does winter mean for you?

Posted on Dec 21st, 2008 by Stef : sweet emotion.... Stef
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 21, 2008:

000_0632
Winter is another season to experience for its unique gifts that it gives us, just as the other seasons do.  Where I am, we are often very snowbound.  I love the trees laden heavy with snow, the earth blanketed and quieted.  We get to experience the cold, and to love to cuddle in blankets in peace.

What do you believe about karma?

Posted on Dec 3rd, 2008 by Stef : sweet emotion.... Stef
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 03, 2008:

Rainbows_0855
I believe that karma does not apply to our souls and our incarnations with doing something "bad" in one life and it comes around again until we get things "right".  I believe karma fits us more in this physical life with things like being judgmental, and it will come back to us to teach us to see what we are giving.  So the golden rule fits in place of karma, what goes around comes around, so why not always practice kindness in that respect?

What question made the biggest impact on your life?

Posted on Dec 16th, 2008 by Stef : sweet emotion.... Stef
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 16, 2008:

Coffee
As I have traveled my journey of learning and growing, for many years I avoided a group of books known as Conversations with God, even though I was reading every book surrounding them.  For some reason, I felt in fear of them but now I know that it was just not time yet.
And then one day, a friend asked if I had read them and I took that one statement as a message that it was time.
Those books held all the important questions that made the biggest impact in my life, especially causing me to truly pause and look at myself, internally.  They changed my life.
